For patients with mental illness, structure and routine is very important. I find it super helpful when a therapist lays out what the plan is, even if it’s just for a few weeks ahead. This gives me something useful to hold on to, and allows me to do my own research even, if I want to. And it gives me something to look forward to, and helps me to know that someone has a plan, even if it’s trial and error at first.

And the most reassuring words I’ve heard from my amazing therapist is repeated here in this strip.

Thank you, Cheng Ching, for lending me your strength all this while.

Tomorrow, we’ll start looking at CBT basics!
