The problem with mental health struggles is that what seems “okay” and “doable” or even “normal” sometimes isn’t any of that. The mind gets up in a bind when faced with some “common-sense” thoughts.
Insisting that it should be okay, doable, normal or common sense doesn’t do anything but just add on the pressure and reinforce the abnormality of the person involved.
So if you’re reading this, and struggling, you’re already normal – for someone who’s struggling. And that’s okay.
