I’m borrowing from schema therapy, which is the main therapy model that my therapist and I are using. But it’s been very effective in pulling out some major parts of my brain, and given many insights into the various functions of my thinning processes. Regardless of whether you believe in the effectiveness of such methods, it remains true that there’s an inner critic inside each of us – the voice that pushes us from the inside to do better and work harder.
