When we help others, we tend to think, hey, we’re doing this for YOU.

But please do consider what I’m suggesting – that sometimes, instead of really doing it for someone else, we’re doing it for ourselves.

This doesn’t mean we don’t want to help. This doesn’t mean we’re being self centered. Do consider though, that we may be operating on autopilot – and that may mean that we’re responding to our own emotions instead of the needs of the person we’re helping.
