Repeat after me: Emotions are NOT the enemy. They are sources of information to tell us that there’s something important we need to pay attention to.

Suppressing your emotions isn’t the healthiest and can only work for so long. Even if we’re extremely careful, we can end up releasing them in the wrong place, at the wrong time, probably at the wrong person or persons.

Perhaps we can talk to someone. Or maybe consider the issues and our options. Try not to walk alone all the time. It’s not easy, but it’s better than hurting ourselves or others.
