The idea of accepting and allowing negative thoughts instead of fighting them, actually results in us being able to make choices that factor in these thoughts and emotions, potentially even defusing them in entirety.

Instead of denying them, swallowing them, and pretending everything is ok. Which is about as effective in facing them as using water to take off makeup from our faces.

Smear everywhere, looks worse, and potentially toxic.
