What is strength? What do we consider strong? How do we see strength in ourselves and those around us? We don’t usually ask these questions.

Strength is shown in adversity. If you are struggling with depression or any mental health illness, every day is an adversity. Each day we stay alive, each day we can live, and even each day that we can contribute to others around us, is a measure of the strength that we have.

We don’t need to be stoic. We just need to stay alive.
